Post Scheduling and Queue Management
Buffer's core scheduling workflow is the simplest in the category. You create a post, select one or multiple channels, customize the caption and media for each platform, and either schedule it for a specific time or add it to your queue. The queue system is Buffer's secret weapon — set your posting schedule once per channel (e.g., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am), and every post you add auto-fills the next open slot. This means you can batch-create a week's worth of posts in one sitting without manually picking times. The calendar view gives you a visual overview of what's going out across all channels, and you can drag posts to reschedule. Where Buffer falls short is bulk operations: there's no CSV import, no way to upload 50 posts at once, and no content recycling (evergreen reposting). If you batch-produce content in spreadsheets or need posts to automatically repeat on a cycle, SocialBee or Publer handle that better. Buffer is built for creators who write posts one at a time and want a fast path from idea to scheduled.
